Text Alerts

Get a text the moment a new NYC parking or camera ticket shows up on your vehicle, so you can pay or dispute it before it turns into a boot or tow. Text alerts are optional and free to sign up for; email alerts work either way.

What we text you

• A new ticket appears in NYC's records for a vehicle you track
• A payment or dispute deadline is approaching
• Your unpaid balance is nearing the amount at which NYC can boot or tow

Texts come from our toll-free number, (866) 254-6093. We never send marketing or promotional texts.

How you sign up

After you create an account and add your vehicle, your dashboard shows this box. Texts start only after you enter your mobile number and tick the consent box, which is never pre-ticked:

After you sign up, we send one confirmation text: “Don't Get Towed: You're signed up for ticket alerts. Get the app: https://dontgettowednyc.com/app Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to cancel.” The link opens a page that helps you add Don't Get Towed! to your phone's home screen.

Frequency and cost

Message frequency varies with your tickets, usually a few messages per month. Message and data rates may apply, according to your mobile plan. Consent to texts is not a condition of using the service or of any purchase.

Stopping texts and getting help

Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving them; we'll send one message confirming you're unsubscribed. You can also turn text alerts off from your dashboard. Reply HELP for help, or email contact@dontgettowednyc.com.

Your number stays private

Mobile numbers and text message opt-in consent are never shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service (Section 8). Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
