Refund Policy
Last updated: October 8, 2026
The short version
- Free features (violation tracking, boot/tow alerts, deadline reminders): nothing to refund.
- Ticket payment convenience fee: refunded automatically if your ticket still shows unpaid after three weeks.
- Dispute drafting ($5): not refundable once your draft has been generated.
- Fleet billing: cancel any time to stop future charges.
Ticket payment convenience fee
When you pay a ticket through our CityPay hand-off, we charge a separate convenience fee (5% of the ticket amount, or $2, whichever is greater). The fee does not include the ticket itself. You pay that directly to the City, and we never hold that money, so we can't refund it.
Automatic refund: three weeks after you pay the fee, we check NYC's public records. If the ticket still shows unpaid, we refund the fee to your original card automatically. You don't need to contact us.
Sooner, if payment failed: if your CityPay payment clearly failed, email us before the three weeks are up with the details (for example, the error you saw or your CityPay confirmation). We'll refund the fee sooner.
If the ticket shows as paid, the service was delivered and the fee is not refunded.
Dispute drafting
Dispute drafting is a one-time $5 fee. Once your draft has been generated it's not refundable, because the work is done. It does not guarantee any outcome, and you submit the statement to the City yourself. If you were charged but never received a draft because of a problem on our side, email us and we'll refund you. We may also make exceptions at our discretion.
Fleet billing
Fleet billing is $5 per tracked vehicle per month, billed in advance and adjusted immediately as you add or remove vehicles. You can cancel any time by emailing us from your account address. Cancelling stops all future charges and returns your account to the free individual plan.
We don't refund a month that has already been billed, except at our discretion or where the law requires it. If a monthly charge fails, we retry it daily for five days before pausing tracking. See the Terms for details.
How refunds are paid
Refunds go back to the card you paid with, through Stripe. Your bank typically shows the credit within 5 to 10 business days.
How to ask for a refund
